Somaliland:VP presides over the ground breaking ceremony for New Ministry of Water Headquarters

H.E Vice President Abdurrahman Abdullah Ismail Saylici and Hon Muse Bihi Abdi , the current chairman of the ruling party “KULMIYE “jointly preceded over the ground breaking ceremony and the laying of the foundation for an ultra-modern Ministry of Water Resources headquarters during a well-attended ceremony .
Dr. Abdirizaq Jama , the director general in the ministry of water resources speaking during the ground breaking ceremony said , “Today we gather here to witness history because the ground breaking ceremony symbolizes for the first time the Ministry of water Resources will get a new ultra-modern building which will be built by the construction firm which won the bidding process of which we (Ministry of water Resources) had no say in the bidding process and selection in any way whatsoever because the whole was the process was being monitored by the National Tender Board.
“I would also like to use this opportunity to thank “RIO Architects” the firm responsible the design and also laud Mr. Mohamed Bashir, the architect for ingenuity presenting us with his innovating design and Eng. Ali Omer from AL BARAKA CONSRUCTION CO tasked with the building of the proposed building which will house the new Ministry of water Resources, I believe meets international standards”, he concluded.
Lastly the DG lauded H.E President Ahmed Mohamed Mahmoud Silanyo for contributing the funds towards this project.
Vice President His Excellency Abdurrahman Abdullah Ismail “Saylici” speaking during the ground breaking ceremony began by saying, “First and foremost have contributed the funds towards this project and of which through their generosity and I would like to commend the efforts asserted by all the Ministry of Water Resources officials starting by the Minister himself and his staff.
Hon Muse Bihi Abdi, chairman of the KULMIYE ruling party and Presidential aspirant said, “The current KULMIYE Government is committed to provide safe and affordable drinking water to citizens of this country, the ongoing water projects will alleviate problems of the water shortage in the city by supplying enough clean water to all the sectors of the town including to those without the water connections currently.
