Somaliland Ambassador to the UK has dismissed as false reports carried by a section of the media concerning the health of President Ahmed Mohamed Mahmoud Silanyo posted on a fake social media sites alleged to belong to Somaliland foreign affairs Minister Hon Mohamed Bihi Yonis in which cites the FM as alleging that President Silanyo will undergo medical operation soon terming the allegations as being unfounded and untrue.
In a message posted by Mr. Ali A Awale ,Somaliland Ambassador to the UK in his face book page stated as follows:-
I would like to inform you of false and baseless reports linked to Somaliland Minister of Foreign Affairs and International cooperation Hon Mohamed Bihi Yonis which were posted by a section of the media last night falsely linking the fake social media page which hosted the false reports alleging that President Ahmed Mohamed Mahmoud Silanyo will undergo a medical operation in the coming few days and at the same time requesting the people of Somaliland to pray for the quick recovery for their ailing leader.
I contacted the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International cooperation Hon Mohamed Bihi Yonis to inquire if the report was true but he was astonished to hear the false story and he also denied having knowledge of ever posting such a message in his twitter account.
The alleged false message falsely linked to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International cooperation Hon Mohamed Bihi Yonis on his social media didn’t elaborate in detail the place or nature of his illness nor the kind of medical operation President Silanyo was expected to undergo ,this comes one day after he flew out of the country headed for London via Ethiopia.
