Somaliland Diaspora Agency conducted drought assessment in the most affected eastern regions

A team from the Somaliland Diaspora Agency led by the Chairman, Mr. Abdi Abdillahi Hersi (Dayaxweerar) carried out drought assessment in the most affected districts and settlements under Sahil, Sool, Sanaag and Togdheer regions. The SLDA team started first phase of their assessment upon the coastal districts of Sahil and Sanaag incluidng Hagal, Las’idle and Huluul which included the most affected zones where people are suffering a lot from the negative impact of  the drought and which resulted death of the majority of their livestock, lack of consumable water for the people, food shortage as well as diarrhea in some places.

 

The Diaspora Agency continued its assessment to different districts under Sool region, Saraar and Daad Madheedh.

The assessment aims to evaluate the impact and raise awareness of all those concerned including Somaliland Diaspora worldwide
